Kog, the little village with the full wine barrel Kog, because it is in a corner of Slovenia has not been discovered yet, but the wine is so superb it won't be long.
I stayed a full week at Milan Hlebec's Enoteca Inn and it was my best week of the whole summer of travel. I plan to go back and enjoy the great cooking by Milan's wife and his wine.
The surrounding countryside is dotted with vinyards and farms, and is very picturesque. I am a painter and so I had lots of places to paint while there. Life moves slowly and the people are friendly in Kog. Many of these villagers do not speak English, but I had not trouble communicating with them through sign language, drawing on paper or just a lot of nodding.
