Tranquil Village Life in the Veneto

This is my village a small town supported by wine making and other farming specialties. It is located about 40 kilometers southwest of Venice and 14 kilometers from Padova.
The town is named after a family that ruled Padova, and is actually made up of two towns, Carrara San Giorgio and Carrara Santo Stefano. The citizens voted in 1995 to join the towns into one.
The Carrarese family was powerful (12th-15th centuries) and owned a large amount of land around Padova. They are also known to have supported the poet Petrarch. They built the church in Santo Stefano which today holds the tomb of Marsilio da Carrara (died in 1435--last descendant).

Over My Home!

On a peaceful Sunday Morning we find a Jagermeister bottle flying over our home. We call to them for free samples, but no such luck.
