Although not a native of Preston I feel that it is home,
I like the friendly people and the banter of the shopkeepers and tradesmen. I came to the Preston area in December 1979 after a couple of years in London, the change in the tempo of living was there for all to see.
Preston is ideally placed with the Lakes and Blackpool a short distance away to the north and Liverpool Manchester and the Dales to the South. You can cross over the border to Yorkshire aand the Motorway system is second to none with the M6,61/2 andM65 all depositting the automobile at the environs of our City .
