The female members of my family (me, my mom, 2 aunts, 3 cousins) decided to get together for a small, quick trip for Thanksgiving. This was our first holiday since my granny past away in August 2008. Perhaps it was a way to delay the inevitable; that first time we would gather for a holiday not hosted at granny's house, or perhaps we all just truely needed to get away for a little bit, or a combination of the two.

It was a good time, although we were surprised at how many things were in fact closed on Thanksgiving day. And the things that weren't closed were CROWDED!

I recommend a trip here, just not during the holidays.
