Unfortunetly I did not come here as a tourist, but because I had to do my job here. We were not allowed to leave the base, so the pictures you will see are all from the military base in Kirkuk. You'll notice the "big green thing". That is our radar, my job is to watch the airspace.

I had little interaction with Iraqis, but the ones I did speak with were very nice and helpful.

Sorry for the poor quality! I was worried that my nice camera would be damaged from the sand so these are disposable camera photos. However, my job always deploys, so the next time I go I will bring my digital.
