Winter Snowmobililing in Copper Harbor
We flew into Houghton-Hancock Airport from Minneapolis. Snowed every day we were there. Snowmobiling was good. Met lots of people from midwest USA. Stayed in cabin at Fanny Hooe (rhymes with Oh!)
Summer camping in Copper Harbor
Hauled our camper to the start of Route 41 (it ends in Miama FL 1990 miles away!) Hiking, biking, kayaking, visit to the lighthouse, Ft. Wilkins State Park.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Peaceful. Friendly people. Laid back.
- Cons:Not much to do for kids.
- In a nutshell:Great place to get away from it all and enjoy the outdoors.
