"Top of Bavaria" Fladungen by weed6886

Fladungen Travel Guide: 8 reviews and 19 photos

Fladungen is the northernmost city in Bavaria. It sits in a valley on the eastern side of the Rhoen, bordered by Land Hessen in the West, and Land Thueringen to the north.

The city wall was erected in 1400, with five towers. The towers are still standing, and a path circles the town along the wall.

The inner parts of town still contain many buildings from the middle ages. And, with the Freiland museun, Fladungen is a good place for those wishing to get a better idea of life in the Rhoen.

Did you know that we have a VT member who lives here? He is "civilian" and it was so nice to read something about Fladungen on your page!
