Late in the evening, artists and street vendors set up shop along Avenida Atlantica across from Copacabana. It is just as romantic, in my opinion, to strolling past the street vendors near the Seine River in Paris.You can buy anything from paintings to t-shirts to Amazonian jewelry. You can even buy a mounted piranha, which will blend in with any decor! Even if shopping is not a priority, "window shopping" will be more than a satisfying experience. Even if you don't buy a painting, the artists appreciate the attention you are giving to their work.

What To Buy: This is a great place to buy original art. If you buy it unframed, the painting can be rolled up into a tube. It is also a great place to buy soveneirs.
