And that is what sums up the French. They are very passionate people - with family and friends, with their ideas, philosophy, beliefs, etc.
France stretches 211,208 square miles. This country offers so much sightseeings and activities. There is Paris - which speaks for itself, the Loire Valley (castles), Normandy (better known for D-Day), Brittany (still has ties to its Celtic roots), Rhône Valley (wine region), French Alps (skiing), the French Riviera (sunbathing), etc.
To enjoy the trip, one should pick up some basic French words. Believe me, it will make a difference in the service you get.
Bonjour = hello
Au revoir = good-bye
Merci = thanks
Pardon = excuse me
Parlez-vous anglais (par-lay voo ong-glay) = do you speak English?
