Havana; My Beautiful Old Lady

by jkarlos - last update: Jan 18, 2006

Back in Time!

View over La Fuerza and El Morro
Almost eleven years have passed since I left this city after finishing university and it all seems like yesterday. During my last visit I noticed some changes; lots of restored buildings and some that don't stand anymore, new shopping centres, higher prices, like everywhere... and so on, but one thing hasn't changed about this place and is the enchantment and beauty that surrounds it; its city life, its people, its warmth.

Please allow me to share some pictures tips and memories with you and hopefully you enjoy this page as much as I enjoy my trips to Cuba.
Bacardi Building in Old Havana

Hidden Spots!

Hasn't it happen to you that you pass a thousand times by a place and have no clue what's in it? Well, it just happenned to me while walking through Old Havana with some friends. Five years in Havana and I never knew what was inside the old Bacardi Building until my friend Raul told me about this nice snack-bar upstairs; great milk shakes, quiet, not crowded at all and nice view over the street beneath us. The building is fabulous!!
