The swans are not shy

Nope - not a shy feather here. If you stop while no one else is feeding them, it is their custom to let you know you are supposed to be there at the Lake with bread in hand for them - they can be quite vocal about it!

This group was undisturbed by the proximity of the boats and people disembarking. Maybe that's just what they were gathered to do - people watching - its contagious along Lake Como.

Gone fishin - by Villa d'Este

As I climbed the dock at Cernobbio, I glanced toward Villa d'Este and happened to see this gentleman fishing - right there between the dock and the Villa. You don't see many people fishing now on the Lake - not like a few years ago. They did announce that the lake is badly contaminated, so I wonder what someone might catch that would be fit to eat. I do see "lake fish" on the menu at various restaurants and - I just wonder??

Old accommodates the new
