Outside True Homes, along the Main Road
I was a little disappointed when I first saw that the entrance of the hotel was along the main road and not at the beach. We were booked at the 2nd floor (Room #6 was a Superior/Standard room) although I've specifically requested for a ground floor room as I was travelling with my mother. Staff was great, the receptionist was very friendly, the bar staff was very accomodating - the guys setup their beach umbrella for me while I was reading by the beach at high noon. Would definitely recommend this place but suggest in getting the deluxe beachfront rooms - around 10% higher rate than the standard/superior room. Discounts for guest at their sister restaurants: True Food (Indian), Mongkok (Chinese), Aria (Italian) and Cafe del Sol (deserts)
Unique Qualities: They have 2 deluxe beach front rooms, opening the door would lead right to their open bar by the beach (photo 2). Also have 2 standard rooms on the ground floor, located at the small street leading to the Main Road. Junior suite and a couple of standard room at the 2nd floor and the presidential suite at the 3rd flr. Suites have their own private veranda overlooking the beach however, entrance is at the main road (photo 1)
Address: Boat Station 1, Boracay Island
Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Located along the Main Road, area near Boat Station 1. Near Cocomangas Resort/Bar and Jony's Beach Resort.

hotel signage
Located right in the middle of white beach (station 2), near restaurants (dmall among them), and souvenier shops. The resort provides a 5-gallon purified water to each unit which is very useful since purified water is a little expensive on the island.
Unique Qualities: High season rate (2006) - Deluxe - 4000+; Jr. Suite - 6000+
Low seaon rate (2006) - Deluxe - 2000+; Jr. Suite - 4000+
Address: Boat Station 2, Mangayad, Boracay Island
Comparison: about average
Directions: along the middle of stn2, near the regency hotel.

Beach House swings
The very beautiful manager of the resort Amanda Tirol has kindly upgraded us (aside from the Deluxe to the Super Deluxe room) to their premier Beach House Suite. It is located fronting the pool with a veranda where their swings are. Great view of the beach (if not boarded up).
Unique Qualities: The room has 3 beds: 2 single beds, facing the door; 1 double bed facing the windows.
The lower beach house has it's own dining tables, ref (not a mini one), cooking stove, sink, bar and living area.
Outside the house, is the twin swings facing the pool and a couch (no pics - i forgot to take some)

Comparison: less expensive than average

Super Deluxe Room beds
Their super deluxe room is housed in the 2nd building, on the 2nd floor - this gives you a balcony, but the view is that of the resort next door.
It has 2 beds, 1 double and 1 single. A tv with DVD player. Walk in closet and bathroom of course.
Unique Qualities: When we checked in, the staff has kindly put our bags in the walk in closet. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by the sweet scent of lemon grass and eucalyptus from their aromatherapy set on their side table.

Boarded up white beach
Stayed here for my Boracay trip with my cousin Mike. It was his first time and he clearly told me to book a resort at a quiet part of the beach, some place where he can bum around. He was the one who actually chose to stay here.
The rooms were great, and since it was off season, the very beautiful manager upgraded our rooms from Deluxe (2 single beds) to Super Deluxe (1 double bed and 1 single bed).
The only complaints I had was the mosquitos and even if i was under the comforter, i was still bitten. But this isn't about the hotel but with the weather when we got there I think..
Over all, I'd love to come back here and I recommend this as a mid-priced resort in Station 1.
Unique Qualities: There are several to this resort:
1. Cabanas - which was a big selling point for me. Even though we stayed there on an off season (July 2006), the front of the beach was boarded up.
2. Swimming Pool - the deepest part is about 4.5 feet, right under the mini water fall
3. Location - in the quiet area, north of Station 1. Very near the Seawind resort. The resort on their left is Sur Boracay, on their right is a private resort of the Brent International School
4. John the Barman - he tends the bar (Wetlands), very friendly, very helpful!
5. Amanda the Manager - she was very very accomodating :)

The cliffside hotel seems so romantic, only i doubt if i can stay here sometime in the future since aside from the expense, Diniwid beach is not as nice as the White Beach, sand-wise
Unique Qualities: The cliff side villas overlooking the beach seems so romantic....
Address: Diniwid Beach, Boracay Island
Directions: Located on the western side of the island, right beside white beach

This is the last resort along the white beach.
Address: Station 1, Boracay Island
Directions: Northern most end of white beach. A bit of a walk from Station 1, going to Diniwid beach

Their tagline says: Sur - Charms of The South.
Unique Qualities: They have cabanas (what i love best in this resort)
Address: Station 1, Boracay Island
Directions: North of Station 1, right beside White House Boracay

Room at the Freckle's Resort
Located quite a walk from white beach, but the buidling is new (3 floors). Rooms at the ground floor are more expensive I think.
Unique Qualities: Host to the Bamboo Bar - great chill out music.
Address: Bolabog Beach, Boracay
Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: From white beach, take that path that will lead you to the Main Road/Patio Pacific resort. The resort is near the English Bakery main store.

Price: US$20-40

If you're a party person, Le Soleil de Boracay would probably be the best place to stay at White Beach - very near D'mall and other bars along the while beach road.
Address: Boat Station 2, Mangayad, Boracay Island
Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: Right past D'Mall, near Mango Ray
