San Francisco is the best

City Hall
I've been updating my travel pages and realized that my San Francisco page has been suffering and this is my home! I have lived in this beautiful city since 1990. It's a wonderful city to live in. A bit expensive but as a local I have learned how to stretch my hard earned dollars. The 'city' (and not frisco...ever) has nice weather, yes it can be cold in the summer but our "Indian Summer which is late August-October is fantastic. It doesn't get real hot here, well maybe 2-3 days a year and then everyone calls in sick to work and goes to one of several beaches for the day. The city is very diverse, if you like good food this is the right place, it'doesn't have to cost a lot and there are many choices to choose from so enjoy my city and feel free to ask me any questions.

Sunrise through the fog

This was my view from my apartment one foggy morning as the sun tried to break through. I say was because recently an 8 story apartment building was built and has taken out my view! At least I have photos like this one. This is actually the Four Seasons hotel during construction, it was just girders at the time, this was morning about 7am and I had just looked outside and couldn't believe what I was seeing, almost looked like the building was on fire. I quickly grabbed my camera and took this shot.
Trans America Pyramid building at night

Trans America building from the Embarcadero

This was a fall evening from one of the piers on the Embarcadero, I liked the silhouette of the Pyramid building and the lights.

Hi David! I've put City View on my to-do list next time we're up there. Thanks! Love you restaurant tips, I still need to hit up Naan and Curry :) ~Laura

Hi David. I loved reading your tips, and I'm actually grateful that you don't have many pictures on the restaurants... I was already drooling heavily enough without the visual proof! haha! Greetings from Dubai / Jess

Thanks again for your help on my SF hotel issue. Some really good tips here, especially the tip on the Naan and Curry. Sounds like a great food stop for my trip!
