"Labadee, Haiti" a Haiti Travel Page by Cruiseone2003

I wanted to include Labadee because it was a fun place to spend the day if you are a cruise passenger. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity have a private resort that is technically Haiti but honestly, could be anywhere in the world with a beach. I say this because it's very protected from outsiders coming into the resort and the guests can't go outside of the property bounderies either. There are plenty of beaches, some secluded and some with plenty of people watching. Lots of activities for the kids and adults who are young at heart. Food and drinks were served all day, there is even a "market" with invited locals from the local towns who are there to sell their arts and crafts. Later in the day locals put on a dance/show for the guests to give a little bit of Haitian flavor.

Labadee is on the northern side of Haiti, it's difficult to find on a map. The nearest city is Cap Haitian. Many people refer to Labadee as an island when in fact it is on a peninsula which is part of the island of Haiti formerly known as Hispaniola.
