Hat Nai Yang Beach: Eat With Your Feet in the Sand at Nai Yang Beach

  • This is a beautiful beach and everyone is so friendly. No fancy restaurants (except maybe at the few bigger hotels?) but lots of small restaurants right on the beach - eat with your bare feet in the sand - it feels so good! There are also casual restaurants not right on the beach. Delicious food at all the places we tried and not expensive at all!

Set in a national park, this beach is very laid-back and uncommercial. Now more than 2 hotels, as well as private bungalows. Excellent job cleaning up the tsunami damange! See my other travel descriptions for a better look at the beach and things to do.

Hat Nai Yang Beach: Actually See Wildlife at a Beach
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Nai Yang Beach is set in a lovely national park, so you have a chance to see some wildlife. We saw this guy on the shore of the small headland, catching fish. See my other tips for a full description of the beach and things to do.

Hat Nai Yang Beach: Walk to the Island at Nai Yang Beach
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • You can visit the little coconut tree-covered island at Nai Yang Beach by walking there during low tide and you'll probably have it all to yourself like we did (during high season). It's a nice little place to hang out but be sure to wear sports sandals or old trainers as you have to walk over some dead coral and rocks. Don't be a doofus like me and wear flip-flops 'cause you will have problems. A coral reef is off the far side of it, my husband saw some interesting things while snorkeling. We saw some locals hunting for things in the shallows around the island, maybe mussels.

You can see more about this lovely beach in my other tips.
