Vail is one of the best ski resorts in the States. The skiable terrain is the largest in North America and the town itself is beautiful with plenty to offer to skiers and non-skiers alike. Restaurants are superb and some hotels are excellent. Vail is also the closest in the US to a (superior) European/Alpine skiing experience.
The town is located 2 hours west of Denver and is accessible from the Denver airport, or its own airport (Eagle) about 40 minutes west of Vail.

nice! i almost moved there last year for work. i'm having mixed feelings about it in hindsight but the time will come :).
I see it's a great place to visit....
swiss chalet? mhhhh... i can't remember when it's hte last time i had swiss food. we're talking years, not weeks...
