"Beit Meri" Bayt Miri by MM212

Bayt Miri Travel Guide: 7 reviews and 22 photos

A picturesque hilltop town in the Mont-Liban region, Beit Meri has stunning direct views over the city of Beirut and the Mediterranean Sea. Much like its neighbour Brummana, Beit Meri is also considered a summer retreat, but it is a little less popular and therefore has fewer restaurants and hotels, and no nightlife. However, it does have a small archaeological area with Roman and Byzantine ruins, as well as an 18th century Maronite Christian monastery built on the ruins of a Roman temple.

Nice to see some photos from Beit Meri! I have also visited the archaeological area there and then I walked up to Brummana.

Thanks for sharing with us this cute little town overlooking Beyrouth. Looks like a nice place to escape the city - but what? no nightlife? :-)
