Champs Elysees refers to the "Elysian Fields" where happy souls dwelt after death, according to Greek mythology. It is a popular tourist destination and links Arc de Triomphe to place de la Concorde. I did enjoy myself walking along the streets especially the Disney store, Nike outlet and Planet Hollywood Cafe. It is definitely a good shopping place for branded goods.

It was built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle and marked the centenary of the Revolution. Gustave Eiffel designed the 324m high tower which has 10 000 tonnes of iron, held together by 2.5 million rivets. Adults have to pay 10.40euros to take the lift up to the third platform but there will always be a long queue. To climb the stairs will cost you 3.50 euros. For a lazy and impatient person like me, I did not choose any of the two option:P

It stands about 210m high with an open air terrace on its 59th storey. You can tour round its exhibition centre and observatory on the 56th storey while enjoying your tea in one of the cafes there. The wait is shorter than Eiffel tower and you can still enjoy the view. Adult entrance is 8euros.

It is the Tomb of Napoleon. Beside it, are the Army Museum-France's largest collection of French Miitary, and Esplanade des Invalides-a 500m lawn. I enjoyed the Army musuem most because it has a wide range of weapons used and military uniforms worn in the past.

A bronze star across the main entrance is the exact point of point zero of French roads(point zero des routes de France). A main focus for Catholics in Paris for seven centuries. From all angles, it has its own unique sight. The three interior rose windows are unchanged for more than seven centuries. You can try to climb its 387 spiralling steps to see 13-tonne bell Emmanuel(a scary tour to its towers) and a wonderful view of Paris. I went round to take pictures from all four angles and I found it the most beautiful Notre Dame out of the three that I had visited.

It is the largest theatre in the world. Architect Charles Garnier designed and built this magnificient piece. It was completed in 1875 and its charm didnt fade. No one can miss this artwork while walking along Avenue L'opera. Many famous plays, ballets, dances and musicals did not pass this by. It is worth going in for a musical treat.
