  • There are many "floating markets" in Bangkok but this is the genuine one. You had to wake up vey early to go to this market as it is 2 hours from Bangkok. You can book a tour with any local tour agencies and it should cost you 500 to 600 baht. Normally they start the floating market tour using a long-tail boat to go through the living quarters of the local and if you want to go into the smaller canals where the actual market is, you have to take a sampan. It should cost you about 100 to 150 baht. You can also bargain for the goods with the boatmen. You can slash the price by at least 50%. A good guide would be to go to the night market for a tour first to have a feel of the prices offered. You can try the cooked food at your own risk.

  • Anyone above 120cm will have to pay 500 baht for the entry and glass-bottom boat ride. You can see a wide variety of marine life from spider crabs, sea urchins to sharks. There are also talks that you can attend and a touch pool where you can handle star fish. The rocks and seaweed were man-made and their stand is that in order to teach conversation, they should not destroy the nature by bring marine life into the aquarium.

  • You should take the ride and watch the elephant shows. The rides will bring you into the forest treks and into a small river. Each trainer will give different services. The show includes elephants playing harmonica, elephant greetings and elephant massaging. The list price is 600 bhat for adults and 300 baht for kids. But if you are going in a group, try to bargain for 20% to 30% discount. Use group dynamics...They will also sell you phots that they had taken when you are on the elephant. But I suggest that you dont buy it. The print is lousy as the colour fades almost immediately. The powder ink comes off very fast. I dunno why.

  • It a just a small factory processing coconut sugar and other coconut-related products. You can see how they used different parts of a coconut to produce goods. Nothing is wasted. Coconut sugar is one of the main ingredients in Thai cuisine. You can also buy some merchandise there but beware!! I bought an ornament made from buffalo horn. The first price quoted was 600 baht but the actual price of the product is 40 baht. :)

Directions: It is on the way to the floating marketing. I had the address in Thai but I dont know how to decode it--hehehe. Ask your tour guide or when you are driving, you can see a big sign "Coconut Factory".
