| 9th August is the birthday of Singapore-my homeland. Some people say that it is beautiful while others say it is artifically done up. To me, this is my country that my forefathers had contributed their lives to. There is no place perfect for anyone but there is no place like home. Singlish, no la. But somehow, it is something that we can laugh at - our own idiosyncacy. (we refused to change even though it had made us sound silly) We can not promote Singlish to the world but we can promote chicken rice, satay and laksa. :P |
| | Just for fun I wanted to capture "sunrise" on a plane and spotted this. This is my last trip from Europe for the year. The next continent I want to conquer is North America. Many people asked me why I havent gone to America. I answered, "I didnt know why but maybe there isnt a reason for me to go yet." Now I have found a reason - "Curiosity", why did everyone ask this question? :) BUT my dream is still spotting the northern lights, maybe I should start with Alaska. hmmm..... |
Backpack--May/Jun 2006 Wanted an adventure...I decided to backpack to France, Swizterland and Italy in May and June. It was also to liberate my pent-up frustrations about life. The journey wore me down physically(carrying a 25kg backpack) but I gained experiences and new friendships. Talking to travellers on trains, exchanging political views, talking about social issues and sharing highlights of our trips had fostered a strange "Hi-Bi" friendships after chatting like long-time friends. We shared freely because we knew we might not meet again. They are like little angels sent to you by God to understand the other side of the world. In this trip, I finally understand why some people need to travel to find themselves and their hearts' desires. It is about understanding the world and yourself and then figuring out how and where will you fit in best in this world.
| | My first B-day This day is a special day. 18 years ago(Er..this had been stagnant for sometime already), I breathed my first. Yelled my 1st cry. Had my first drop of milk. Not knowing what my destiny will be and where life will bring me. But one thing I know for sure, is that I will die someday. Death is not scary. How I live is. Now let my travel begins....................................... |
Sailing to reach out to the light My favourite pic taken in Perth.
Calmness of the heart Peace of the mind Serenity of the soul Tranquility of nature
My hiding place is the Sea...Whenever I am sad, I will go to the sea...Shout towards the horizon and listen to its echo...Nature always says...Look wide and look far...Whenever I concentrate on looking far...I forget about the small minute "me".......The rhythm of the waves never fails me..
| | My first favourite flower The sturdiness, stubborness and survival instinct of a cactus produced my first favourite flower. I cant remember the name of this cactus but I remember its attributes. Life brings out the worse and the best of every living thing. IMHO, this is the best. |
Grapes without wine?? One of my favourite fruits...Juicy and Sweet...I like its vibrant colours...
I once had a dream. I was enjoying huge ripe grapes that burst into juices, the minute they were popped into my mouth. Under the vines overseeing the fields and cotton dotted sky, together with a group of friends, laughing, playing the guitar, singing and dancing. What is better in life than enjoying with a group of true pals............................
| | My First Photo Shoot I thought to myself...If I dont do it when I was young, I wont do it when I am old...So I did it...The only drawback...Should have taken out my watch...Looks like a watch advertisement |
