"Living the Coastal Life" Topsail Island by trippark

Although a Tropical Storm is now in our area things are still wonderful.
Some clouds bring in heavy storms but they last a short while and break up leaving much time for people visiting to play on the beach and get a great sun tan.
Yesterday we watched Dolphins who seemed to be having a extra good time of the warmer waters with all the new fish it is bringing with it.
Much speckled trout and red drum are now in the water. They are jumping and herding fish making quit a show.
People still need to be careful of rip currents while this storm is passing by. Some huge waves off the Ocean as high as 8ft predicted have some surfers excited but many need to respect the current and be extra precautious. Im adding a favorite hang out photo for some of the local surfers. A movie was produced from some of these fine surfers and they have done well in competition. Also, exciting to watch are the wind surfers.

• Pros:Still not as discovered as most Islands
• Cons:Not as undiscovered as it was 4 years ago.
• In a nutshell:It is Paradise- small enough to have charm but growing with some great new places.
