It has a population of abour 2.1 million and together with Hong Kong Island contains 47% of Hong Kong population. It districts include: Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, Sham Shui Po, Wong Tai Sin and Yau Tsim Mong. The name Kowloon means nine dragon and represents the eight peaks 1. Castle Peak, 2. Tai Mo Shan, 3. Tate's Cairn, 4. Lion Rock, 5. Ma On Shan, 6. Kowloon Peak, 7. Sharp Peak, etc. and the ninth being the Chinese emperor. Kowloon and Hong Kong Island is pretty much the centre of Hong Kong therefore, I have been all over this district numerous times everything I visit. |
