lovely acoustics! Temppeliaukio (Rock) Church Review

This was a nice suprise. Im not a church fan, but this was lovely and they had a pianist playing in there. If more churches were like this I might be tempted to go! Beware tacky souvenir shops nearby!

full of insects in summer! Suomenlinna Island & Fortress Review

I was suprised that so many poeple lived here. The local shop and toilets were a bit grotty to be honest, the worst I found in Helsinki! However the walks and views are lovely. Doll museum a disappointment.. Submarine quite intesteting to look around! best bit was the boat ride there and back. Beware the massive biting and stinging insects in summer.

local market Kauppatori (Market Square & Market Hall) Review

Honestly not as boring as it sounds! The market is a bustling centre of activity and there are some great food stalls here for fish etc. A meal here is a must do and its cheap! You can buy all kinds of things here.

Island zoo Korkeasaari (Helsinki Zoo) Review

You take the boat from Kauppatori to the zoo (entrance fee and boat ride included in cost) and you can enjoy a stroll around the island zoo stocked with everything you would expect. The indoor tropical sections are also enjoyable.
