It was rainy and cold when we arrived into Auckland...and I ended up visiting the museum. It was impressive and fun to learn about this country thru the museum. It was certainly a great way to spend a rainy day...

I cringe at the thought of doing any cheeky tourist attraction...and walked past the sign 4 times before I finally chose to join. It's the Louis Vutton boat from the America's Cup...and a crew of 5 guys take out a group of 8 to 10 tourists. We all have a chance to help with the sailing and bringing the sails up and down (I'm clueless on all the technical terms)

It was a hoot! Alot of hard work...but a definite highlight for the trip.

Directions: Downtown Auckland city, at Maritime Museum.

It was really cold when we were in aukland...and on this particular day...there was not a lot open...but it was fun to take the 20 min ferry over ...and the town was quiant and cute.

I ended up finding a shop with pure wool sweaters (jumpers)...for a great price..which was a perfect souveniour...and something I needed for the cold weather.

It was also a great place to stop and have coffee...

I'm sure if it's warm the place is buzzing....but it was nice even without a lot of places open...
