I traveled to Paris in November of 2005 with my father. I must admit that I was a bit intimidated by the city, as I had never before been in a place where I did not speak the language. I found it to be the same as many other major cities Ive been in, with the exception that they speak French, rather than English.

We stayed in the Best Western Hotel Eiffel Cambronne, which is located off of Rue de la Croix Nivert. While the rooms were relatively small, they were nice. The staff were friendly, and the country style breakfast was very nice. The hotel was located roughly 2 miles from the city center, with a metro station about four blocks away, making it an easy journey to pretty much everywhere.
