Check out my personal albums titled India and Australia 2006/07, most my pics and tips are there.
This is Palolem in Goa where i met Mat, Babu Jon, Kika and Daniela, povi and vitish what a great place to have been i loved it.
Taj mahal, it is best to see this at sunrise.
Lot's of chipmunks in it's surrounding gardens :)
A bit of a touristy area, but the locs are realy chilled. Local shop owners and restraunt/bar workers are extreamly sociable, even after they (finally) realize your not buying anything. One of my favourite bits was sitting on the beach watching the sun go down and talking to an old kashmiri guy who couldnt talk any english, best converstation i've had in years *:) I was trying to learn kashmiri he was try to learn English, with lots of pointing and repeating of words it was great! A short bus ride from here is calangute which is a realy handy place for shoping, and had one of my most delishious food joints, Plantain Leaf (great masala dosas and onion uttapams, the lassis werent bad either.) A big white sandy beach here with lots of sunbeds and restraunts waiting on you hand and foot, if thats what yr into. Lovley place to catch a swim, or if you like jetsking, or even kite surfing. The dolfin trips arnt that great though, to many tourist boats out there scaring the dolfins off every time they surface.
Still in goa just up the beach from candolim and calangute is baga. Livley beachside restraunts and bars in the evenings. Tourist season runs from November through to march/april. If all night raves is your scene then try nearby Anjuna about 5 km north. I've herd goa has some good beach raves around new year and christmas, but prices also rise around this time of year. 600 Rs - 900 Rs per night for a room, use buses if your on a budget they are very frequent extreamly cheap and have some good routes, taxi drivers all stick together on prices around here but if your willing to go to see some handicraft shops they will drop the price as they get commision from the shops.
