It is said that Rudesheim is one of the famous towns of the Rhin, but in February its streets were empty and the majority of shops and restaurants were closed. It is not strange, because the weather was incredibly cold. Despite of the cold, I think that winter can be an special time to visit the Rhin towns, as you won't find a lot of tourists and you will have streets to wander around alone.

We'll be staying a couple nights Ruedesheim in a few short months with a group of teenagers on a music tour! Glad to hear that there is lots of shopping. By the way, your photos are lovely!
