I grew up in the Okanagan but never really travelled much to this area so when we decided to pick up and volunteer at the SARBF in 2005, I didn't know what to expect. It is a beautiful city nestled in the mountains with a beautiful lake nearby (but though its close, its a long drive to get to a beach).
We spent most of our time at the Festival, which I'd highly recommend, but Salmon Arm is definitely worth stopping in if passing the area on your travels.
- Pros:beautiful area; friendly people; excellent music festival
- Cons:cold summer nights; beach is a long drive from the town
- In a nutshell:A great place for a festival!
