"So, where are you from?"

For me this is a hard question to answer. In a split second I need to figure out whether they are just being polite, or are happy to lose an hour while I explain!

I'm an 'Army brat', moving whenever and wherever the forces sent us. And as much as I disliked leaving friends behind, I'm still doing it!

Born in Poole, UK....then Runcorn, Deal, (boarding school in East Sussex), Plymouth (outskirts), Plymouth (city), Adelaide, Australia (Reynella, Marino), short stint in Wimborne, several places in Stevenage, Bollington, back to Stevenage....soon moving again, to Essex!

I know that there are others who have lived in many more places....and I try to imagine what its like to live and die in the same town.

I have learned to love my unique accent....and one day I'll get a stamp in one of my passports!

It has made me who I am and I wouldn't have it any other way. 9 years and 5 months is the record so far.....
