HB If you are debating on what part of the OC, or SoCal for the matter to visit, go to HB. The summer scene is great. Main St is always busy. The beach and surf is great. After all, it is Surf City USA. US Open of Surfing takes place there each year and if you haven't been, you need to go. It is packed with Surfing, Skating, BMX, Motorcross... lots of fun. All in all, it's a great place to soak up the sun, party, people watch and just be laid back. Newport is right down the PCH, and its a bit lower energy, and beach is nothing compared to Huntington's. The only thing that is good about NB is that you can get a place on the beach, or at least the pennisula close to the very beach. |
