"Beautiful Nami Island" Nami-ri by snuggie

Nami Island located in Bangha-ri with circumference is about 6 km and area 430,000. There are a grassplot of 260,000 in the center of the island, and chest-nut trees and poplars around it. This is a perfect place for a slow walk.

The Nami Island was named after General Nami. A brave name from the Korean history who fought in battles and died at the age of 27.

The island today provide a place for people to rest and away from the crowded civilization.

Nami Island was previously a deserted island but become famous after the filming of drama Winter Sonata.People started flocking to the island after watching the drama and South Korea tourism industry flourish and is one of the tourist attraction when visiting South Korea.

Nami Island is the place where the most romantic scenes of Winter Sonata was shot eg. the first kiss of the 2 main leads.The island can be reach by a ferry and the journey took around 5 minutes.

By bus
Take a bus headed to Chuncheon from the Dong Seoul Bus Terminal
and get off when the bus stops in Gapyeong at the Gapyeong Bus Terminal.
From the terminal take a taxi to the ferry Point.

By train
Trains run from Cheongryang-ri Station in Seoul to Chuncheon
Take the train to Gapyeong and from the station take a taxi to
the ferry point.
