i am NOT a tourist, and im annoyed yes i am in paris. but have made mistake of staying with my best friend, who lives there. result, an incredibly blasé friend who does not want to be seen dead taking photos of the eiffel tower or dandering along to the arc de triomphe. whatev, i dragged her off anyway.
we stayed in the boulogne area in her bosses house. MAN were these guys rich, i thought we were in the actual versailles. anyway, from there i got to see as much of the city as possible. |
|  | when i shut my eyes i see the metro signs. we spent about 93percent of my time in the metro. it took like an hour to get from boulogne to the interesting bits. it is cold. there are tramps and singing accordion players down there. but it was necessary to see the sights.
we did a lot of cool stuff. i eventually got to the eiffel tower, at night. we saw the arc de triomphe, sacre coeur and montmartre. but we spent a lot of time sleeping, as we successfully completed three 'nuits blanches' ie three nights with no sleep. the reason? we found a salsa bar in the opera area and could not keep away!! |
