Hong Yao Salesgirls: Shopping at Doorsteps

There is practically no shops designated for shopping. Shopping will simply means buying displayed handicrafts in the lodge you are in or Hong Yao ladies will drop by your lodge to sell you their wares. They are nice "salespersons" as they are not really aggressive or get angry if you do not buy from them. Most of the wares are small pouches, wallets, purses, scaves and bookmarks. Bigger items are the Hong Yao's costumes, table runners, envelopes holders and shawls. These are usually made of woven materials or in embroidery. You can bargain for the items - willing buyer, willing seller.. Small items cost about 15yuan to 30yuan and bigger items could run into 200-400yuan.

The only shops are some sundry shops selling drinks and groceries.
