A Short Summary on the Capital of Egypt Cairo, or El Qahira as it is known in Arabic, is situated on the banks of the River Nile in northern Egypt, south of Alexandria. This is a strange and unique city of old and new wonders, from the Pyramids of Giza to Cairo Tower, the tallest tower of concrete in the world. However, be warned that this city primarily leans towards the old side and is very "third-world". If you are from a G8 member nation get ready for a culture shock. |
