New York, New York

Autumn in New York.. or something like that

Mz Liberty
My first glimpse of the east coast of USA was after a long 14-hr flight at 35,000ft on a cool Autumn day in October. I didn't know what to expect but I'm always ready for a new adventure.

I don't have to tell you about New York City because most of you are already familiar with this metropolitan through people, TV, movies and the net. Nevertheless, I can say that New York City is probably the most populous city I've ever been and definitely earned its title "The City That Never Sleeps". The metropolitan is also home to many people from all over the world which shows up everywhere in the form of restaurants, shops & parades.

That makes New York City a place rich in culture and would take a lifetime to experience.
Times Square / Broadway

My first time in the US

After having spent most of my life exploring one side of the planet, I decided on a whim to jump across the pond to see how it is over there. This is not just my first trip to the New York City but also to USA. And not only did I watch my first Broadway theater performance, Phantom of the Opera, I enjoyed it so much I went for another theater performance during my trip.
Central Park

Where to go, what to do?

New York City has 5 districts or boroughs, Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens & Staten Island. Sad to say that all my time was spent in Manhattan due to time constraint so before you come here, plan your trip wisely.

One of my favorite places in Manhattan is Central Park, that sits like a giant oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle. It's amazing that the city has dedicated this huge area to a park because the land's real estate value is sky high (and getting higher by the day).
