Birthplace of Democracy

Athens, Αθήνα

Acropolis on the mountain
As a child, I've read about the many stories about the mythological characters with wonderful adventures. So much so, I've always wanted to come to Greece to visit the ancient sites associated with the history & myths.

I can say that I am not disappointed; Greece is a unique country with thousands of years of history which I will never finish learning. Greece is also more than just history, the people are just as colorful & proud of their traditions & culture.

Modern & Ancient side by side

While I made Athens as my base, I ventured out to other parts of Greece e.g Peloponnese which is a must-do. Athens holds many treasures but there are more to be seen of this civilization that survived the centuries out there.
