"London Town" London by BorneoGrrl

Capital of England

When I first got to London in 2001, I was walking around town and joked that I couldn't find anyone who speaks english. I thought that was funny but what was really funny was that my English friends agreed with me!!

As you know it, London has been a melting pot of many nationalities for hundreds of years and it is evident everywhere you look. You can't call it a "white man's" place anymore and you won't be missing home so much if you know where to look

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Excitement everywhere
  • Cons:Wow! It's EXPENSIVE!!!!
  • In a nutshell:London still has many surprises

Hi BorneoGrrl :) The current London Mayor, Ken Livingstone, has tried to prevent the pigeons from being in Trafalgar Square, discouraging feeding them and disallowing the sale of their feed which was once in the square.
