I took a day trip to Lido Island from Venice and it was a sweet escape from cobble stone streets, bridges and canals. Lido is popular amongst Venetians especially during the summer where they can enjoy the sandy beaches and walk along tree-lined streets
It's not difficult to get to Lido, just a vaperetto ride from Venice Island for a small fee and it's less expensive to stay & dine here (compared to Venice). I would definitely want to come back again |

a good start with 3 tips ! The best about Lido is in my opinion, that you get a perfect panorama of the old Venezia, when going there by vaporetto ! |
