Just before you approach the city, you can already the magnificent towers from a distance. The sight is breathtaking, as if from some medieval scene from long ago
Sadly, I was here for only a few hours because I was on my way back to Florence from Siena. Nevertheless, the short time in San Gimignano has left me with an unforgettable experience. It is truly a medieval city with no modern buildings in sight. |
