The Masai Mara reserve is located west of the Rift Valley and is an extension of the Serengeti plains, in Tanzania. To get there, I had to go on a 6-hour ride from Nairobi by road (4 of them bumpy) but it the journey was filled with wonderful scenery of the Rift Valley province. You can see miles & miles of open savannahs and friendly people who wave as you drive by
This has got to be one of the best times I had in my life and would love to return again. The Masai Mara is probably the most popular reserves in the whole of Africa and I can see why |
