Song Ngu Seafood Restaurant: Fine dining in HCMC

This is supposed to be a high end Vietnamese restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the prices were value for money. I came here because my companion was muslim and she was not as adventurous to try the local hawker food.

First, the restaurant itself has two storeys and is cozy with a colonial feel to it. At night, the place was lit up in bright colorful bulbs. Service was excellent, friendly & attentive and waiters & waitresses are dressed in their traditional costumes. The menu itself was easy to read with dishes written in English plus pictures.

I must say we were pretty greedy because we ordered too much plus drinks so if we had ordered just enough, the bill would've been less. Nevertheless, I'd love to return here again

Favorite Dish: We started with delicious crab spring rolls which were so tasty & crunchy. Then, it was fried calamari with a sweet & spicy sauce

Then we had the fresh seafood steamboat (small) which came with a selection of shrimps, fish, squid & noodles. The broth was excellent and didn't need extra seasoning
