Styria, Tuscany of Austria I never grow tired of discovering the countryside of Austria, and so I was really pleased to get the chance to go on a roadtrip to Styria or Steiermark in the spring time. Driving from Vienna, it only takes an hour or so on the highway before you get on the smaller roads that lead you through picturesque village after picturesque village |
Sudsteiermark or South Styria South Styria is also referred to as the "Tuscany of Austria" because of the famous vineyards that produce excellent wines, especially white wines e.g a Gelber Muskateller, a Pinot Gris, and a cuvee of local grapes. Even the landscape reminds me of the Italian district, so I can see why |
