La Jara (The Willow)

Old town with nothing in it except a few Restauraunts, 3 gas stations, 1 school, 2 grocery stores, 1 bank, and 800 people.
This picture is of the mighty Rio Grande River looking south toward New Mexico. The portion of the river is just South of Alamosa, CO, 15 North of La Jara

I know that I make La Jara sound like a place you would never want to visit, but I can not deny the peaceful afternoons and the incredible sunsets over the San Juan Mountains. The San Luis Valley is truly a peaceful valley and I enjoy my time at home with my family.
