Edinburgh is the home of Hogmany and after a few disastrous years of cancelled fireworks and rained out events, Edinburgh was not letting this year be a disappointment. Ok, so it rained on New Years Eve but everyone was so having so much fun, no body cared. And besides, the cute plastic poncho gained with your street party pack was up there with the latest fashions and kept you dry. There was some great bands to get you in the party mood, plenty of party foods, including the ol' Scottish traditional favourites including haggis, there was wine and beer to buy in plastic bottles or could byo as long as it was in plastic. Then the fireworks started at midnight over the castle, and that was something to wonder at.
