"Don't feed the Animals" Jasper National Park by DSwede

Jasper National Park Travel Guide: 437 reviews and 1,104 photos

What can I say, I'm a nature junkie, so I thought why not practice my habits in the wonderful parks of Northern Alberta.

I have worked many times and for extended periods in Edmonton, so Jasper is a hop, skip and a jump away. I also tried to enjoy the stretch from Jasper to Banff when ever I could.

From rafting in the spring (oh that water is cold, but oh so refreshing), to skiing in the winter at Marmont, to hiking in the summer, its a mountain boy's dream.

Feel free to visit my Alberta page for more thoughts on the province.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Trails, rivers, lakes and recreation everywhere.
  • Cons:First time drivers slam on the brakes at every sighting of anything furry.
  • In a nutshell:You'll loose track of the hours with the magnitude of passing through.

Love that elk. Were you able to get in that close, or was it a zoom shot?

Magnificent shots of the mountains and an endearing one of the elk.. Heading to Alberta for the fist time, the first week of May and can not wait! ;-)
