"Iconic Desert Greenery and the Casbah" Ait Ben Haddou by DSwede

Ait Ben Haddou is made from mud, rock and stone. It has been around nearly as long as the stones themselves. With the river flowing through the small valley, the greenery gives the the town a source of life.

Due to the size and condition of the Casbah, this has long been a destination for travelers. Its renowned enough that even Hollywood has traveled the distance and made copious movies using this as a natural and authentic set.

• Pros:Small and rather compact city, can walk everywhere within an hour.
• Cons:Becoming more commercialized with tourism every day. Not easy for those with walking difficulties.
• In a nutshell:Iconic desert greenery and one of the best preserved Casbahs
