The area is full of many ancient temples, monuments, tombs and parks.
It is about an hour north of nearby Ulsan.

Pros and Cons

Pros:The historic sites are easily within reach of a circular bus route or bicycle.
Cons:Cheosuk and fall (with the turning of the leaves) is extremely busy.
In a nutshell:The quintessential historical site in Korea, good for a casual 2~3 day stay.

I really like the look of "small town" here..Seems kind of mellow in all of your"out of the way" S Korean destinations Dave..It really appeals to me..I think Im booking a ticket soon..
