    • There is no shortage of marvellous sandy white beaches at Coffs Harbour, suitable for either fishing or swimming.

    The photo with this tip was taken from the harbour breakwater, to the north of the port and shows the beach and some of the small islands.

    • Strangely enough, Coffs Harbour is not actually at the harbour - the township is maybe a km inland.

    Over the years, the harbour has been built up with rock walls and now hosts a large fishing fleet, as well as private yachts. It is well worth the time to visit and stroll around looking at the boats, the seabirds, the general activity, the views back over the township and the beaches. When you've had enough, there are restaurants nearby where you can relax over a coffee.

     Great sailboats. I spent way too little time in Coffs Harbour (I hate bus tours as you can read about in my Australia page). Everytime I wanted to stop, they dragged me along.    		cnango Sat Apr 21, 2007 18:28 UTC
     Coffs Habour is one of the spots I hope to visit in Australia in the near future. I like the harbor pics with the old ship, reminds me a bit of an old tall ship in our Dana Point Harbor.Gr8 little page. Cheers,Nancy : )
