We stayed at the Motel Civic (also known as the Civic Motor Inn) as part of a group booking made by our car club. It was chosen because it has ample room for cars and car trailers, plus a good outdoor barbecue area. There also is a salt water pool, but I did not see anyone trying it out though the weather was quite warm during our stay.
The second photo (a panorama) shows our room. It was impeccably clean and well kept, but the style could be called ‘older motel’ and this is reflected in the lack, for example, of an extractor fan in the shower area. Additionally, while the room would be fine for a simple overnight stay, it was relatively small and lacking in the storage space needed for a more extended visit – as we soon found, staying for five nights. Still, the location was good, the bed comfortable and the price reasonable, so we were quite satisfied that we had received value.
