The Treffen

Choose the most freezing days of the year.
Choose a site in the Bavarian mountains overloaded of snow.
Choose to permit the entrance only to who arrive here with the transport less suitable for the snow: a motorcycle.
Choose to made them to sleep in a tent on the snow.
And ask them to pay for all this.
Well, they will come from all over Europe for one more Elefantentreffen!

The History

Born to be Elefantentreffen

This huge tribute to the motorcycle is born in the 1956, when lovers of the Zundapp sidecar, used by German army in the WWII, for the first time gathered in Nuerburgring (the legend says they were Wermacht veterans).

In the following years the event was moved first to Salzburg and then, in 1989, to Loh/Thurmansbang-Solla, in the middle of the Bavarian Forest.
